Automatic drawing is a technique born with the Surrealists in the 1920s: the hand moves across the page without conscious direction, letting go of intention, composition, and even sight.
The idea was to bypass the rational mind and let something closer to instinct, memory, or the unconscious guide the line — a drawing made faster than you can think about it.
This page borrows that same impulse. You draw blind, without seeing what your hand is doing, and only afterward does the mark reveal itself — often stranger, looser, and more honest than anything drawn on purpose.
